Hippo diner

This illustration was inspired by a painting that Edward Hopper created called night hawks.

Hey Tony, most excellent work!

The layout sure has changed a lot since you showed me the initial pencil rough. The color scheme is quite appropriate I think, and you did a good job capturing all the nuances of diners. The designs all have distinct character too, but my favourite has to be the little hippo child dressed up like the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man (not sure whether or not that was intentional).

It would be cool if you posted on your blog a step by step process of how you go about these illustrations some time (just a thought).

Love the action line the mother and the child are creating.

Could be a scene from an expensive cartoon movie! I like that the hippos looks like people you see in real life!
Its a cool feeling to have my own Restaurant!XD
